August saw over 7,000 "Unexploded Ordinances" (grenades, artillery projectiles, and bombs) destroyed in the Western Sahara. Though the exact number of these live munitions, which are spread all across the Western Sahara, is unknown, there have been thousands of casualties that have resulted due to civilians coming upon these explosives.
